Gauhati is the biggest city of the Indian state of Assam and also the largest metropolis in northeastern India. Dispur, the capital of Assam, is in the circuit city region located within Guwahati and is the seat of the Government of Assam. A major riverine port city along with hills, and one of the fastest growing cities in India, Guwahati is situated on the south bank of the Brahmaputra.

It is called the ”Gateway to North East India”.

The ancient cities of Pragjyotishpura and Durjaya (North Guwahati) were the capitals of the ancient state of Kamarupa.[16] Many ancient Hindu temples like the Kamakhya Temple, Ugratara Temple, Basistha Temple, Doul Govinda Temple, Umananda Temple, Navagraha Temple, Sukreswar Temple, Rudreswar Temple, Manikarneswar Temple, Aswaklanta Temple, Dirgheshwari Temple, Asvakranta Temple, Lankeshwar Temple, Bhubaneswari Temple, Shree Ganesh Mandir, Shree Panchayatana Temple, Noonmati, and the like, are situated in the city, giving it the title of “The City of Temples

DAY 01: ARRIVE GUWAHATI – SHILLONG (150km / 2h 30min)

Meet and greet upon arrival by our representative and then transfer to Shillong. The Gleneagles of the East lies in the centre of a plateau surrounded by Khasi hills. En-route visit UMIUM LAKE BARAPANI PARK. Overnight in Shillong.

DAY 02: SHILLONG CHERRAPUNJEE – SHILLONG (190 kms approx.)

After Breakfast, excursion to Cherrapunjee.Cherrapunjee is framed as the wettest place on Earth is 60 kms from Shillong. The journey from Shillong to Cherrapunjee offers a pleasant drive as one witness numerous waterfalls and gorges. Longer stay gives opportunity to the visitor to explore limestone caves and waterfalls, the amazing living root bridges and galore of water and adventure Activities. While the must visit places are the gorgeous Seven Sisters falls and the Mawsmai cave is in your tour plan. En-route sightseeing includes:Ramakrishna School and Museum, Eco Park, Nohsngithiang Falls, Nohkalikai Waterfalls, Mawkdok Dympep Valley View, Dainthlen Waterfalls. Later come back to Shillong Hotel. Overnight in Shillong.

DAY 03: SHILLONG:

After Breakfast, full day sightseeing of Shillong. The Gleneagles of the East lies in the centre of a plateau surrounded by Khasi hills. The gorgeous city offers amazing tourist spots. En-route sightseeing includes:Don Bosco Museum of Indigenous Culture, Wards Lake,Botanical Garden, Lady Hydari Park, Golf Course, Elephant Falls, Shillong Peak. Later come back to hotel.Overnight in Shillong.

DAY 04: SHILLONG – GUWAHATI: (150km / 2h 30min)

After Breakfast, come back to Guwahati.Guwahati,the Capital city of Assam and Gateway of Northeast, it is the Central business region of Northeast. Pay your obeisance at the numerous Temples -Maa Kamakhya Temple. Sukreshwar Temple. Umananda Temple. Navagraha Temple, Bashistha Ashram. Tirupathi Balaji Temple, and many more…Guwahati is the commercial capital city of the North East. ‘The Light of the East’ lies adjacent to the shores of the turbulent Brahmaputra. Visit the Second world war Cemetery, State Museum, State Zoo and Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra(A museum of Assam diverse culture) and Science Museum beside the temples. Overnight in Guwahati.

DAY 05: GUWAHATI DEPARTURE:

After Breakfast, return back to Guwahati Airport / Railway station for your departure. Your tour ends here with pleasant memories.

Any cancellation between 14Days – 3 Days prior to arrival date: 75% of tour
